About Us

That Logo
Clear. Distinctive. Memorable.
The wolf influence is subtle but obvious; rising ear peaks, sculpted jaws and elongated muzzle. It's unique and there's no mistaking it for any other brand. For those that know, it's the love of cars, motorsport and the adventures that follow.
It defines us. It defines The Pack.
The Brand
The inspiration behind Black Wolf Road and Track arrived in 2019; the forever car. A black Series 2 Lotus Elise that's been turned up to 11 by 80's heroes, Turbo Technics. Strong on personality, this car quickly weaved its way into our hearts thanks to its boisterous supercharger conversion and free breathing exhaust. It literally howls and whines. The Black Wolf name stuck. Read more about it here.
With our relaxed motorsport-inspired style, our apparel captures the essence of the perfect drive, the perfect adventure. Like the racing machinery that inspires us, it's the quality and durability of our apparel that sets us apart, not just the style.
Unlike other brands, we don't buy-in our base garments for printing. We found the only way to guarantee the correct fit, comfort, quality and durability was to work with respected industry professionals and design to our own specification.
Our garments are 100% Black Wolf Road and Track, built for you.
Built to last the distance.
Who Are We?
Much like yourself, cars and motorsport have been in my blood from an early age. I think back to early memories of my Dad's mk1 Golf GTi, or bleary-eyed mornings to catch a Special Stage of the Lombard RAC Rally - the sequential whistles of marshals signalling the arrival of a fire spitting, crackling Integrale through the mist.
I happily remember learning to drive in Blue Thunder, a Peugeot 309 'Special Equipment' whose nickname was a nod to my favourite lantern jawed TV helicopter. I don't recall any particularly special equipment but it's direct steering and lithe chassis set the benchmark for all to follow.
I fondly look back on building a Caterham with my Dad and brother in a cold garage; my Dad's retirement present to himself, which I now realise was actually a present for the 3 of us. Unlucky Mum. This inspired an impulsive but ultimately unsuccessful 'Lad and Dad' foray into the world of karting with a Rotax-engined second hand chassis. That kart is still probably the most visceral thing I've ever driven. If only I could've driven it faster!
Fast forward a few years to 2023, specifically to a road trip in the USA, cruising Florida with my family in an entry-level Dodge Charger. Never have 300 horses felt so slow but for those 2 weeks it was the perfect car and, for me, it made the holiday. I felt like a Duke of Hazzard County.
The annual family pilgrimage to Le Mans started for us in 1991. Brothers, Fathers, Uncles and Friends we've picked up over the years, all brought together by this French classic. We've seen this world famous event evolve from an attritional procession where maybe 12 cars would be nursed around the 8.47 mile circuit (back then) on Sunday afternoon, to the flat out 24 hour sprint it has become in the LMP1 and Hyper Car/LMDh eras. Spectator facilities have improved a little too, although it's still easier to relieve oneself against a wall than queue for a toilet....
There are themes running through all of this. Cars. Family. Mates. Motorsport. Adventure. But above all, it's memories.
And that's the purpose behind Black Wolf Road and Track. We've felt it, and as you're still reading we know you've felt it; the power of machines and motorsport to bring friends and family together, to drive memories and adventure.
Road or Track?
Either is fine by us, just make it one to remember.
